Message	hydraulic lifters will go to 8000rpm but if taking it to higher revs consistantly ..7500 - 7700rpm is safer as valve float may be an issue with the hydraulic lifters you'll find that R4+ 264 duration will start dropping off making power before 8000rpm . 272 for making power at those type of revs and you are at the point where solid would be better.
